Kemper Additional Comments: William McCorkle moved to Shelby County from Pennsyslvania with his brother Cyrus in the mid 1870s. His wife, the late Emma Heisey, had preceeded him in death in 1912 when the will was written, and one of his two daughters, Alice, had not yet married. Although Emma and some of their infant children were buried in the Angel Street cemeter, it is unclear where William was buried. His son Uriah (mostly known as Riley) pastored two "Dunkard" Churches, and is remembered by many current residents of Shelby and Darke Counties. William died about 1922.
