This we know from the records in the "Family Book of John Schrack" and the "Family Book of Henry Staub." We believe he was the illegitimate son of Magdalena Schrack Staub. We have letters, written from Ohio, in which he states he at last found his father in Stark County Ohio. By then David was married and had three children of his own. Had lived in Sugar Creek, Oh and been involved in various enterprises, canal boat operator, mill owner, quarry operator and farming. We would like to find just who David Shearer belongs to. Does any of this sound familiar to any of you? Good hunting, Kay -- Genealogy without documentation is mythology! *************OH-FOOTSEPS Mailing List***************************
