The cemetery was abandond, overgrown and in complete disrepair. There are no original records to be found. The transcription is what could be read off of the tombstones. There are 253 grave sites dating from around 1834 to 1917. Here is the Hartville Union Cemetery Listing. A real big thank you goes to Matt Nash who's Eagle Scout Project this was along with the cooperation and funding of the Hartville United Church of Christ and the Village of Hartville. Most of the stones were laying down and overgrown with weeds and brush, some completely buried in dirt and debris. The cemetery now is beautiful. The village now maintains it. Hundreds of all volunteer hours went into restoring this old cemetery and it really shows. *********************************************************************** Row & SURNAME Given Inscription Stone 5.19 AGNE Phillip d. 14 Feb 1879 76y 3m 4d 7.16 AGNE Elizabeth w/o P d. 24 Feb 1862 61y 8m 15d 7.8 ANDREWS Frances w/o Daniel d. 5 Jun 1876 47y 7m 7d
