The cemetery was abandond, overgrown and in complete disrepair. There are no original records to be found. The transcription is what could be read off of the tombstones. There are 253 grave sites dating from around 1834 to 1917. Here is the Hartville Union Cemetery Listing. A real big thank you goes to Matt Nash who's Eagle Scout Project this was along with the cooperation and funding of the Hartville United Church of Christ and the Village of Hartville. Most of the stones were laying down and overgrown with weeds and brush, some completely buried in dirt and debris. The cemetery now is beautiful. The village now maintains it. Hundreds of all volunteer hours went into restoring this old cemetery and it really shows. *********************************************************************** Row & SURNAME Given Inscription Stone 7.12 DANNER Daniel d. 10 Apr 1866 6.3 DENNY Mary w/o Henry d. 13 May 1885 83y 28d 7.4 DENNY Clarence A. s/o H & B d. 30 Nov 1885 8y 6m 22d 7A.4 DENNY Henry d. 12 Jan 1851 5.20 DICKERHOOF Isaac d. 21 Dec 1879 65y 2m 5.37 DICKERHOOF John d. 10 Jul 1852 65y 6.30 DICKERHOOF Susannah w/o Isaac d. 11 Jun 1851 31y 1m 11d 6.7 DICKERHOOF Christina w/o I. d. 6 Sep 1880 48y 3m 5d
