"the south west corner of Section twenty two, in township seventeen of range 
seven."

"KNOW YE, that Daniel Shafer, a signee of Joseph xxxxx(can't read) having 
deposited in the General Land Office a certificate of the Register of the Land 
Office at Steubenville whereby it appears that full payment has been made 
for 'the South West quarter of the Section twenty two in Township Seventeen of 
range Seven,'etc, etc." 

The document was signed by then president James Monroe "under my hand at the 
City of Washington, the twenty first day of January in the year of our Lord 
one thousand eight hundred and nineteen."
