Alliance Review : Janurary 19,1909
          GRANTED A PENSION
     A letter received in Alliance Wednesday from Gen. Charles Dick states that
the commissioner of pensions gives the information that the pension claim of
Harry B. Lawrence of Alliance has been allowed at the rate of six dollars per
month. Mr. Lawrence is a Spanish War veteran and has been in poor health for
some time owing to illness contracted in the service. He was a member of the
Fifth O.V.I. and later served in one of the regular oragnizations. He has a
family to support.
