Canton, Ohio. December 17, 1916. Word was received by relatives in Canton Saturday of the death of Charles L. Archinal, 46, at his home in Trenton, N.J. Mr. Archinal had lived in Canton up until 15 years ago when he moved to Trenton. He had been ill for more than a year, suffering from a nervous breakdown. He is survived by his wife, a four-year-old son, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Archinal, and a brother, William Archinal, Jr., all of Trenton; a sister, Mrs. F. L. Drane, of Chicago, and a brother, Harry Archinal, of this city. Funeral arrangements will not be completed until Mr. Archinal of this city reaches Trenton. It is likely that the body will be brought to Canton for burial. While in Canton Mr. Archinal was employed by the American Bridge company and was with the same concern in Trenton up until the time of his death. The Trenton Evening Times. Trenton, NJ. December 16, 1916. Charles W. Archinal, widely known draftsman, of 6 General Greene Avenue; died this morning after a prolonged illness. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Archinal, and besides his parents is survived by his wife, one son, Charles W. Archinal, Jr.; two brothers, William, Jr., of Trenton, and Harry, of Canton, Ohio, and one sister, Mrs. Fredrick Draine, of Chicago. Mr. Archinal was for many years employed as draftsman by the American Bridge Company, and supervised the plans for construction of many of the largest establishments of that concern. Mr. Archinal was a member of the Trenton Engineer’s Club, Mercer County Wheelman, Cartaret Club and other organizations. He was an active member of Clinton Avenue Baptist Church.
