The Canton Repository.  Canton, Ohio.  Saturday.  October 2, 1909.
	John E. Heckman, 71, died Saturday morning at the home of his sister, 
Mrs. L. G. Myers, 316 West Ninth street.  He was a life long resident of 
Canton.
	Mr. Heckman was a painter and at one time he was foreman of the paint 
department of the old Ball Manufacturing company.  Previous to his wife’s 
death several years ago, he lived at 115 North Cherry street.  He retired from 
active work fifteen years ago and had been ill only a few days before he died.
	The funeral will be held from the Myers home at 2 o’clock Monday 
afternoon, Rev. E. P. Herbruck officiating.  Burial will be in Westlawn 
cemetery.
