He was born on May 27, 1932, and his hometown was Alliance, Ohio. He was the youngest son of Daisy and George Libengood. He joins them in paradise along with siblings, Marie (John) Hopkins, Bud (Virginia) Libengood, Ross Libengood; and two cousins also raised with him, Eva Mae Bodo and Alice Martin. After six years in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict, he graduated from Mount Union College where he met his wife of 45 years, Landra Boyer. Their union produced three children, Curt (Susan), Doug (Annie) and Brenda (Michael) Eggert. He was the proud grandfather of Alex and Caitlin Libengood, Sar-ah and Seth Young and Cassidy Eggert. His wife, children, grandchildren and sister-in-law, Jane, along with his two nieces Kelly and Susan from Canyon Lake, Texas survive Bruce. Other surviving nieces, are Joan (Rev. Larry) Klinker, Patty (Bill) Lemish and Linda (Bill) Delaney. Several cousins and dear friends will also miss him. An original member of the Akron Police Reserves, he enjoyed serving the community. He was a research chemist for Firestone Tire and Rubber and a computer programmer for small businesses and individuals needing computer support. His love of music and photography were combined to produce "Signal 23" and "The Akron Canton Airport Story". These audio-visuals were shown in schools and to service organizations in the Akron area. His passion for hunting was expressed through membership of Wadsworth Hunt Club and he was also a member of the Blue Lodge Portages Lakes Masonic Temple 752. Bruce was a member of the Norton Grace Church where he was editor of the church newsletter for several years. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at the Norton Grace Church, 3970 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd. Pastor Bob Combs officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, 6 to 8 p.m. AT THE CHURCH and Wednesday, one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Norton Grace Church, 3970 S.
