Miner, 87, of 881 Wales Rd, NE was pronounced dead on arrival Wednesday at 1:20 p.m. at Massillon Community Hospital. Mrs. Miner was a native of Cambridge and had lived in the Massillon area since 1932. She was a licensed practical nurse, having retired in 1962 from the Massillon State Hospital after 27 years of service. She had also formerly been employed as a nurse at Diebold Inc in Canton. She was the last of a family of 11 children. She was a member of Loyal Council 22 of the Daughters of America and Stark County Past Councilers. She was the widow of Ed Miner, who died in 1933. Her daughter, Eloise Glass, died in 1962. Mrs. Miner is survived by a son, Robert J. Miner, with whom she resided. The funeral will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Atkinson-Feucht-Shaidnagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce D. Cummons, D.D., pastor of the Massillon Baptist Temple, officiating. Interment will be made in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
