PIONEER GONE

Martin BECHTEL, an Aged Citizen, Dead.

Martin BECHTEL, an aged citizen, residing on East Tuscarawas street, 
died Sunday morning at seven o’clock of heart failure.  He was eighty-two 
years of age.  He leaves a family of eight grown children.  The funeral will 
be held on Wednesday at 2 o’clock p.m. from the German Reformed 
church.  Interment at Rowland Cemetery.  Mr. BECHTEL was a Stark 
county pioneer, having been born near this city, and always resided in the 
country.

His name was usually spelled BACHTEL.
