John Buckius, Esq. Coroner of Stark County, held an inquest on the body of Mr. William SPITLER, late of Jackson Township, which was found among the ruins of his dwelling. It is supposed the house took fire, accidentally, the night previous, but from his advanced age and consequent infirmity ( being about 80 years old) he was unable to make his escape. Both his legs and one arm were entirely burnt off, and his body and head much burnt and defaced.
