Evening Independent (Massillon, OH) 12-8-1949 December 8, 1949
Soon the wistful face of little Wanda Wiley, 8, Austin, Tex., will become one 
of the most familiar in the natiion as 1950 March of Dimes poster girl.  
Stricken with polio in 1948 one week after her sister came down with the 
disease.  Wanda still needs braces and crutches, but through aid of Nation 
Foundation for Infantile Paralysis she is well on the rod to recovery.
