Ambler, 69, of 1161 Juniper ave., an active civic worker, will be at 3 p. m. Saturday in the Billow Akron Chapel. Interment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Mrs. Ambler died in her home Tuesday after a brief illness. She was a native of Indiana, Pa., and a graduate of Indiana State Teachers College. She came here 40 years ago. She was founder and first president of Jackson School PTA, served as treasurer of the Akron PTA Council and was a member of the Home and School League and its alumni group, the United Community Council, NeHeta Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and many other social and civic groups. Her husband, Robert R., died in 1950. Mrs. Ambler leaves a daughter, Mrs. Frances Stephen of Glenview, Ill.; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Rhoda Libengood of Aspinwall, Pa., Mrs. Mabel McCormick of Elrama, Pa., and Mrs. Ann Stockdale of Waynesburg, Pa., and a brother, John Forsha of Aspinwall.
