P. Cadwell, of the firm of King & Cadwell, attorneys at law, land, loan and insurance office, was born in Racine, Wis., Dec. 21st, 1854; moved with his parents to Independence, Ia. Entered the Ames Agricultural College in 1871, graduated in 1875, was admitted to the bar in 1877, under Judge Bradley, of Marshalltown, Ia., and soon after opened an office in Logan. In the fall of 1877 he formed a partnership with Mr. Barnhart, and in Nov., 1881, with Mr. King. He owns a fine stock farm in Jefferson township, of 840 acres, well fitted with buildings and improvements, where he keeps about 400 head of cattle, besides horses hogs, etc., and has 440 acres of pasture land in Monona county. He married Hannah P. Lyman, of Messapotamia, O., in the autumn of 1877. They have one child, a daughter.
