Hines Calvin S. Hines died suddenly at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Loretta Haun, in Fowler Thursday evening. He was born in Johnston, March 6, 1859, the son of Martin and Melvina Barnes Hines and was a lifelong resident of Trumbull county. Surviving are five daughters: Mrs. Ruth Pearce, Youngstown, Mrs. Fannie Perkings [typo: actually Perkins], and Mrs. Martha Poohbaugh, Warren, Mrs. Haun and Mrs. Mary Edwards, Struthers; three stepchildren, George Spencer and Mrs. June Richards of Monaca, Pa. and Mrs. Frank Fisher, Hawaii, and a brother, Martin Hines, of Farmdale. Funeral services will be conducted at the McLean funeral home in Kinsman Sunday at 2 p.m. in charge of Rev. M. L. Smith with interment in Kinsman cemetery. Additional Comments: Calvin Smith Hines was born 6 Mar 1859 in Johnston, Trumbull County, Ohio; and died 3 May 1934 in Fowler, Trumbull County, Ohio. He married Susan May Mayborn on 3 Aug 1889 in Trumbull County, Ohio; she was born 13 Oct 1862 in New York, and died 30 Nov 1929 in Nutwood, Trumbull County, Ohio.
