Perkins, 73, 426 Ruth Ave., Leavittsburg, died at 8:30 a.m. today at Elmwood Nursing Home, West Farmington, following a three year illness. Born Aug. 1, 1892 in Gustavus, she was the daughter of Calvin and Susie Mae Mayborn Hines. Her husband, Elton Perkins, died in 1924 [typo: actually 1925]. A lifetime resident of this area, she had served as custodian at First Assembly of God Church when it was on W. Market St. She also took children into her home to rear. She was an active member of First Assembly of God. Survivors include three sons, Walter of Youngstown, Henry, with whom she made her home, Calvin of Champion, four daughters, Mrs. John (Cora) Brown and Mrs. Albert (Elizabeth) Furbee, both of Leavittsburg, Mrs. Esther Edwards of Greenville, Pa., Mrs. Jack (Pat) Varner of Lockwood, three sisters, Mrs. Jesse Richards of Monaca, Pa., Mrs. Loretta Haun of Fowler, Mrs. Martha Sexton of Boardman, 30 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren. A son, George, three sisters and a brother, preceded her in death. Services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in First Assembly of God Church, where the body will lie in state from noon until time of service. Burial will be in Champion Cemetery. Friends may call at the Carl W.
