On Thursday of last week he was brought to the city hospital, but his trouble was so far advanced that the treatment given him failed to relieve him. Mr. Venn was a native of England and was the son of William and Elixebeth Venn. He was born on February 1, 1848. Fifty-four years ago he came to this country and located in North Bloofield on a farm. Shortly after he had located there his bride came and they were married on her arrival. They have spent all of their married lives in the community where they have a large circle of friends who extend their sympathy to the family in their bereavement. During all of the years of his residence in the commuinty he has been a faithful member of the Methodist church and was known as a man of sterling character, a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his wife, seven daughters, Mrs. Viola McIntosh, Chardon; Mrs. Ethel Bacon, Troy; Mrs. Grace Clarke, Mesopotamia; Mrs. Dora Griffin, Bloomfield; Mrs Mable Jackson, North Bloomfield; Hellen and Elva Venn, at home; two sons, William and Vern Venn, Bloomfield, and fourteen grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the family home on the West Road, Wednesday at 2 o'clock, when Rev. G. W. Peters of Columbiana, will officiate, assisted by Rev. D. S. Carpenter of Mesopotamia. Interment will take place in Brownwood cemetery.
