He became President in the mid 1860's, early 1870's. Professor Webster was noted for "saving" the Seminary by reviving it's popularity and increasing it's enrollment. The Western Reserve Seminary burned from a painter's torch in 1906. The home features three french door balconies, original brackets,original wood siding, and original slate roof. Inside the home, although modifications have been made over the years from several transformations (Starr Hotel, Hitchcock and Latimer Funeral Home, Carpenter Funeral Home, etc.) still maintains the beauty of the Victorian Era.
