(Alleshouse) Resler was born in Tuscarawas Co.,OH Jan 6, 1851 and died Jan 1, 1919 age 67 yr, 11 mon and 25 da. He was united in marriage to Josephine MAUK of Tuscarawas Co.,OH June 22, 1871. To this union twelve children were born: Mrs. Myrtle CASSELL of Milwaukee,WI; Wm. F. of Decatur,IL; Edw B of Fisher,IL; Homer R. of New Augusta, IN; Geo W. of Dewey,IL; Mrs. Anna M. PARR of Indianapolis, IN; Clifford F. of Milwaukee,WI; Mrs. Julia V. PIERCE of Kansas City, MO; and Mrs. Flossie Gladys THURMAN of Dewey,IL. He was preceded in death by Mrs. Maude WADE; and Della and roland who died in infancy. He was a member of the United Brethren Church at Raglesville,IN for a number of years, and recently transferred his membership to the Odon United Brethren Church. The funeral service was held from the residence last Saturday at 10:30 with Rev.Ernest Roberts in charge. Burial was made at Walnut Hill. The Odon Journal-Sept. 19,1930 Death Calls Josephine Resler-Odon Resident passes away Sunday afternoon. Funeral Tuesday. Clara Josephine Resler, aged seventy-five years, died last Sunday afternoon at one oclock at her home on East Main Street after an illness of several months. Cancer was the cause of death. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at one-thirty at the United Brethren Church with Rev. Settle of Linton in charge. Burial was made in Walnut Hill cemetery. Mrs. Resler was born in OH d/o Jacob MAUK and Anna/Hannah/ Nancy (RHODES) MAUK 16-Apr-1855 died 14-Sep-1930. She was a member of the Odon United Brethren Church. Surviving children are: Mrs. Myrtle CASSEL of Indianapolis,IN; Mrs. May PARR of Indianapolis,IN; Mrs. Julia SEEGAR of St.Louis,MO; Mrs. Gladys CHURCHMAN of Dana,IN; Will RESLER of Dewey,IL; Edward RESLER of Champaign,IL;Homer RESLER of New Augusta,IN; George RESLER of Dewey,IL; and Clifford RESLER of Milwaukee,WI.
