I spoke with Maxine over this past weekend (we are related but haven't figured out exactly how yet) and she was very pleased at the idea and said there is no copyright to worry about. Minnie Abbey (Huprich), b. Jan. 5, 1892; bap. Feb. 15, 1892; conf. Nov. 5, 1905; d. Feb. 15, 1920. Rose Hattie (Huprich), b. Dec. 10, 1896; bap. July 4, 1897; conf. Sept. 3, 1911. [NOTE from me: Here are some odds and ends I looked up individually on the Regula family(s?). Anna Margaret's maiden name was also Regula, and her husband and the father of Henry and Edna was Gustav Regula. scr: same churchbook, p. 71 & 74--the children's baptismal records. There is a marriage register listing a Gustus Regula and a Margaretha Regula who were m. Dec. 31, 1857; scr. p. 56. As for Minnie Abby......I looked her up in the baptismal records and found Mina Abigail, b. Jan. 5, 1892 and her parents are listed as Jacob L. Huprich & Philippina nee Regula. There is no listing for Rose Hattie Huprich/Regula in the baptismal records. I found Philippina Regula Huprich's death on p. 88, with her dob as Feb. 27, 1872; d. Aug. 25, 1897. Also found Philippina's baptismal record listing her as the child of Gustav Regula & Margareth Regula. Warning: there are at least 3 different Gustus/Gustav's listed in this churchbook! So if you like puzzles, here's a good one for you!] To clarify (I hope): With the majority of the Swiss/German churchbooks, they are divided into sections: Baptismal Register, Confirmations, Death Register, and Marriage Register. To look up a family, such as the Regulas, you would go to the index where you will find 70 page numbers listed. So you jump all over the book checking out the various Regulas in the sections. Some churchbooks, such as this one in Fiat, had another section added, the Family Register. This is what I am putting in the list as the basic info for a particular family is all together in one nice little section. Of course, as you noticed with the Regulas, all the basic info did was to confuse which is why I did some extra searching, hoping to make some pieces fix. I am afraid all I did was probably drive you all nuts! I am hoping to talk with the woman who did the translations for this and many other churchbooks and to see if this one is still available for purchase (cost abt. $8). I will get back to you ASAP on this. Also have been contacted by the webmistress of the OH GenWeb page about putting this info there. Will keep you posted on that too. Meanwhile will get part 3 to go out by end of weekend. My apologies for the length of this. Part 3 will be brief and to the point, honest! Kathlena NOTE**have included baptismal and confirmation dates as some times those are the dates someone has down for an ancestor's birthdate. Kathlena Enfield, CT.
