Alloway Mrs. J.O. Alloway, 76, of 272 West Main St., Newcomerstown, died at 1 a.m. today at Union Hospital, Dover, where she had been a patient less than a day. She had been ill the past few weeks. Lillie Mae Davis was born May 24, 1880, in Tuscarawas County, a daughter of J.H. and Louisa Stocker Davis, and was married to J.O. Alloway, who died April 5, 1930. She was a member of the Trinity Methodist church, the Frees Rebekah lodge and Daughters of Union Veterans Circle. The survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Clarice Smith, Cambridge, Mrs. Melva Freehahn, New Philadelphia, and Mrs. Pearl Little, East Liverpool; one sister, Mrs. Beal Curby, Newcomerstown; two brothers, John Davis, Carson, Iowa; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ourant funeral home in Newcomerstown in charge of Rev. G.C. Cornell, Killbuck, and burial will be in West Lawn cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. (Newcomerstown News?) MRS. LILLIE ALLOWAY SUCCUMBS SATURDAY - Mrs. Lillie Mae Alloway, 76, of 322 West Main st., died at 1 a.m. Saturday at Union Hospital, where she had been a patient one day. She had been ill for several months. Born in Tuscarawas county, May 24, 1880, she was the daughter of J.H. and Louisa Stocker Davis. Her husband, John Oscar Alloway died in 1930. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church, Free Rebekah Lodge and Daughters of Union Veterans Circle. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Clarice Smith, Cambridge, Mrs. Melva Freehahn of New Philadelphia and Mrs. Pearl Little of East Liverpool, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Beal Curby of Newcomerstown and two brothers, John Davis of Guernsey RD and Howard Davis of Carson, Iowa. Funeral services were held on Tuesday from the Ourant Funeral home, conducted by Rev. Glenn Cornell of Killbuck and burial was made in West Lawn Cemetery.
