MRS. GRACE CARR, NEWCOMERSTOWN MILLINER, IS DEAD
Mrs. Grace Carr, 53, wife of Ernest Carr and prominent Newcomerstown business 
woman, died of complications at 3:30pm Wednesday at her home, West Canal st., 
Newcomerstown. She had been in ill health for several weeks. Mrs. Carr was 
born in the Everals vicinity, north of Newcomerstown, a daughter of Perry and 
Lucy Mackey. She had operated a hat shop in Newcomerstown for the past 20 
years and was an active worker in several lodges. Surviving are the husband, a 
daughter, Mrs. E. D. Rothenstein, of Newcomerstown and a grandchild. Funeral 
services will be at 2pm Saturday at the home. Interment will be in West Lawn 
cemetery, Newcomerstown.
