Carr, 81, native of Coshocton county and a former resident of Newcomerstown, died suddenly Wednesday morning at his home in Phoenix, Ariz. Mr. Carr had been working part time with a mining machinery company in Phoenix, where he spent the past 13 years. He resided in Newcomerstown for many years and at one time operated an automobile agency there with his brother, Harry T. Carr. Mr. Carr was a member of the Newcomerstown Masonic lodge and a charter member of the Newcomerstown Baptist church. A son of J. C. and Elizabeth Tidrick Carr, he was marred to the former Margaret McMillen of Newcomerstown, who survives. Other survivors are a stepson; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Rennard and Mrs. Nelle Stoffer, both of Newcomerstown; two brothers, Ernest Carr, Akron and Harry Carr of this city. Funeral arrangements were not learned but it was expected that the funeral and burial would be in Phoenix.
