Acting coroner George Gressle, Licking country ruled following an autopsy Tuesday morning that Mrs. Carr died as the result of a heart attack. The body was discovered about 1:30 pm by two men who were passing along the highway in an automobile. The investigation revealed that Mrs. Carr was walking along the expressway at Newark earlier and was picked up by a woman driver. She got out at Hanover, where she reported that she was to meet a friend. She apparently was walking along the stream bank south of the bridge at Hanover when she fell into the water. Mrs. Carr's wrist watch had stopped at 10 am the investigation revealed. Mrs. Carr was born in Newcomerstown Dec 18, 1892, a daughter of Frank and Mary Johns Gadd. She was married to Charles Carr, who died in 1948. She was a member of the College St. Methodist church in Newcomerstown, where she spent her entire life until one year ago when she went to Newark to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. George Callentine, 74 Granville St. Newark. Besides the daughter, she leaves one son, James W. Carr of West Lafayette; nine grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 pm at the Bonnell funeral home in West Lafayette. Internment will be in the East State St. cemetery at Newcomerstown.
