Coshocton Tribune September 28, 1968 
Clarence C. Carr, 77, Newcomerstown, died at 12:30pm Friday at Union Hospital, 
Dover, where he had been a patient three days. He was a retired file cutter at 
the Heller plant in Newcomerstown. He was born Dec. 19, 1890 at Linton Mills, 
Coshocton County, a son of Baxter and Louise Miller Carr. He was first married 
to Anna Decker, who died in 1920 and was married the second time to Tillie 
Allen, who died in 1962. Mr. Carr was a member of the First Baptist Church. 
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. John Milburn, Newcomerstown; one son, Jeff 
Carr, Denver, Colo.; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Chapman, Newcomerstown, and Mrs. 
Edward Lyons, Tampa Fla; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. One 
sister and one brother are deceased. Services will be held at 2pm Monday at 
the Ourant Funeral Home in charge of Rev. George Shurtz and Rev. Harold 
Kidwell. Burial will be in East State Street Cemetery.
