Coshocton Tribune October 26, 1969 
Joint funeral services for the three West Lafayette High School age students 
who were victims of the tragic traffic accident late Friday afternoon on Route 
93, to be held Monday at the West Lafayette United Methodist Church. Killed in 
the crash were Jeffrey Rand St. John, 16, Ward Allen Carr, 15, and Michael 
Edwin Schlarb age 15.
Ward Allen Carr was born May 13, 1954, at Guernsey Memorial Hospital, 
Cambridge, a son of James W. and Katherine Hothem Carr, of 705 E. Fourth St., 
West Lafayette. Burial at Fairfield cemetery near West Lafayette.
