Coshocton Tribune May 13, 1935
Edgar S. Carr, 25, of Newcomerstown, died Sunday at 3:50pm in Coshocton city 
hospital of injuries suffered in an auto accident a week ago today. Mr. Carr 
was a passenger in an auto driven by Joe Bender of Newcomerstown when the car 
struck a fence and overturned just east of Coshocton last Monday. Bender 
escaped with minor injuries. Mr. Carr was believed recovering and was 
dismissed from the hospital here last Tuesday, but was brot back Friday. His 
condition grew steadily worse until his death yesterday.  He was born in 
Guernsey county Feb. 12, 1910, the son of Frank and Nora Carr. He had lived in 
Newcomerstown and was one of the most widely known and popular young men of 
that town. Surviving are his parents, a daughter, Rocilla Wrae Carr, and a 
sister, Mrs. Wilbur Lapp of Coshocton. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 
at 2pm at the home on West State St. Newcomerstown in charge of Rev. C. E. 
Jeffers and Rev. D. A. Morris. Burial will be in Newcomerstown cemetery.
