Coshocton Tribune September 14, 1953
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2pm at the home, 1610 East Chestnut 
St. for Frank W. Carr, 80, who died at his home Saturday at 6pm from heart 
trouble. He had been ill several weeks. Rev. Floyd Eckert of Newcomerstown 
will officiate. Mr. Carr was born Nov. 3, 1872, in Guernsey county, a son of 
Samuel and Susan Mercer Carr. On Oct. 19, 1899, he was married to Nora E. 
Norris, who survives. Other survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Wilbur Lapp of 
the home, and one granddaughter. One daughter, one son and two sisters 
preceded him in death. A retired carpenter, he was a member of Trinity 
Methodist church and the IOOF lodge, both of Newcomerstown. He had lived in 
Coshocton the past 12 years.
