(Red) Farrar, 73, of 527 N. College St., died 9:45am Wednesday at Coshocton County Hospital following a long illness. He was a retired Heller Tool Co. employee. He was born Sept. 1, 1900, in Tullahoma, Tenn., a son of William and Esther Dorsett Farrar. His first wife, March Crouch, died in 1949. On Dec. 8, 1956, he was married a second time to Georgia Johns, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Miss Jean Farrar, Pensacola, Fla., a son, Charles Farrar, U.S. Army; two step-sons, Robert Van Sickle, New Philadelphia and Edward Van Sickle, Chicago; a grandson, Charles McPherson, McDill Air Force Base, Fla.; and several step-grandchildren. One daughter is deceased. Services will be conducted at 2pm Saturday at the Ourant Funeral Home in Newcomerstown with the Rev. William O. Calvert officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery at Port Washington.
