John V. Gadd dies at Newcomerstown 

John V. Gadd, 78, a retired stone mason, died at his home on West Church St.,
Newcomerstown at noon today following an illness from complications.  Mr. Gadd
was born just east of Newcomerstown Feb. 14 1860, the son of David and Margaret
Gadd.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Hannah and two sons, one who died
in infancy and Daniel who died 10 years ago.  Surviving are two sons, Clarence
and John both living south of Newcomerstown, nine grandchildren and two great
grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held at the home at 2 pm Saturday. 
Burial will be in the West Lawn cemetery.
