James Frank Gadd Dies at Home Near Newcomerstown 

James Frank Gadd died at 10:15 am Sunday of complications at his home two miles
north of Newcomerstown. The 71 yrs old man had been ill the last three years,
but his condition did not become serious until a week ago. He was born south of
Newcomerstown in 1868, a son of David and Margaret Stoffer Gadd. He had spent
his entire life in the Newcomerstown’s vicinity, and was a member of the
Newcomerstown College St. Methodist church and Buckhorn grange. Surviving are
the widow, Mary Gadd; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Carr of the home; a sister, Mrs.
Anna Barthalow, River St. Newcomerstown, a brother, David Gadd of Newcomerstown
Route 2; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will
be at 2pm Tuesday at the home two miles north of Newcomerstown, in charge of Rev
J Cecil Cottrill of the College St. Methodist church. Burial will be in the
Newcomerstown cemetery.
