The 71 yrs old man had been ill the last three years, but his condition did not become serious until a week ago. He was born south of Newcomerstown in 1868, a son of David and Margaret Stoffer Gadd. He had spent his entire life in the Newcomerstown’s vicinity, and was a member of the Newcomerstown College St. Methodist church and Buckhorn grange. Surviving are the widow, Mary Gadd; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Carr of the home; a sister, Mrs. Anna Barthalow, River St. Newcomerstown, a brother, David Gadd of Newcomerstown Route 2; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2pm Tuesday at the home two miles north of Newcomerstown, in charge of Rev J Cecil Cottrill of the College St. Methodist church. Burial will be in the Newcomerstown cemetery.
