Coshocton Tribune

Clarence Gadd Sr., 72, Newcomerstown Route 1, died Sunday at 11:55 pm at
Guernsey Memorial hospital, Cambridge, six hours after he was admitted. Mr. Gadd
was born Oct. 9, 1885, near Bernice, a son of John V. and Hannah Johns Gadd. He
was married May 17, 1906, to the former Charity Zimmer, who survives. He was a
retired stone and concrete mason and a member of the Trinity Methodist church in
Newcomerstown. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Mrs. Edward
Henrick, and Mrs. Harold McCormick, both of West Lafayette, six sons. Lorin D.
Gadd, former mayor of Newcomerstown, Clavis C. of Falls Church, VA, Clarence
Jr., of Columbus, Wayne W., of Arvada, Colo., Ermil R., of Newcomerstown, Route
1, Lester V., of West Lafayette Route 1; 17 grandchildren. Two daughters, one
son and two brothers preceded him in death. Services will be conducted at the
Ourant funeral home, Newcomerstown, Thursday at 2 pm Rev. Robert O. Muffly will
officiate and burial will be in Pleasant View cemetery.
