Newcomers Native Dies of Pneumonia

Jasper Johns, 73, native of the Newcomerstown vicinity, died in Union hospital,
Dover at 4pm. Thursday following an illness of one week from pneumonia. He was a
resident of Dover. Mr. Johns was born five miles north of Newcomerstown July 6,
1864, the son of William O. and Sarah Johns. He was united in marriage with Emma
Caddy on Jan. 25, 1883. The following children survive, Mrs. Jesse Steffy, Mrs.
Bernice Croneback, Clarence, Fred and Ma?k of Newcomerstown, Donald of Mansfield
and Mrs. ? Booth, Newcomerstown. Two sons preceded him ? in death. Two can’t
read the rest. Funeral services will be at 1:30pm Sunday at the home in Dover.
Burial in Bethel cemetery, six miles north of Newcomerstown.
