Coshocton Tribune

Services for Mrs. Leander M. Johns, 76, who died at 9:15 Tuesday morning at her
home, 355 East Canal St. Newcomerstown, will be held Thursday at 2pm at the
home, with Rev. L. M. Carmony of the Evangeical United Brethren church in
charge. Burial will be in West Lawn cemetery.  Mrs. Johns lived in Newcomerstown
the past 46 years. she had been ill the past six weeks. Lille Mae Brown was born
April 17, 1870, in Blue Ridge, Tuscarawas county, a daughter of John and Amanda
Riggle Brown. She was married Sept. 10, 1893, to Leander Johns, who survives.
Other survivors are one daughter, Mrs. L. M. Wright, Newcomerstown; three sons,
Lorin of the home, Erwin and Kenneth Johns of Newcomerstown; two grandchildren;
one sister, Miss Anna Brown, Massillon; one brother, Frank Brown, Dover.
