Coshocton Tribune

James H. Johns, 87, Bridge St. Newcomerstown died at 4pm Friday at the Rose Lawn
Nursing Home where he had been a patient for 10 days. Born April 13, 1879 at
Wolf, he was a son of William and Sarah Norris Johns. His wife the former Jessie
Ripley died in 1948. Mr. Johns was a retired farmer and construction worker.
Surviving are two sons, William of Newcomerstown Route 1 and Earl of Corning,
Iowa, two daughters, Mrs. Ray Hewit and Mrs. Sally McCabe both of Olmstead Falls
and five grandchildren. Two daughters, two brothers and four sisters are
deceased. Services will be conducted at 2pm Monday at the Ourant Funeral Home by
Rev. Edwin Eschelman. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.
