Emet U. Lawver - Emet U. Lawver, 89, a retired kiln fireman in the clay
industry, who made his home with a daughter, Mrs. Clifford Dyer, Gnadenhutten
Route 1, died at 5 p.m. Monday at Twin City hospital, Dennison, where he had
been a patient one week.   He was born July 30, 1872, at Dennison, a son of John
and Mary Mohn Lawver, and was married to the former Sadie Fox, who died March
15, 1961.  Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Beulah Gross, Newcomerstown and
Mrs. Dyer; two sons, Ray of Midvale and Ernest of Newcomerstown; one sister,
Mrs. Nora Strones, Los Angeles; one brother, Jesse Lawver, New Philadelphia; 12
grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. One
daughter, one son, five brothers, two sisters and a half-sister are deceased.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Ourant funeral home,
Newcomerstown, in charge of Rev. O.E. Ghere. Burial will be in Bakersville
cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and
Wednesday.
