DENNISON - Luke A. Meechan, 72, a resident here 21 years, died today at 10 a.m. in
Dover 
Union Hospital of a cerebral hemorrhage. Born at Doylestown, he was a retired coal
miner.

Surviving are his widow, the former Louise Kruse; 3 sons, Thomas of New
Philadelphia, Luke 
of Dennison and Daniel of Wichita, Kan; 5 daughters, Mrs. Margaret Altier of
Dennison, Mrs. 
Evelyn Storrie of New Philadelphia, Mrs. Helen Creager of Dennison, Mrs. Barbara
Kinsey of 
RD 1, Gnadenhutten, and Mrs. Earl Henry of Uhrichsville; 2 sisters, Mrs. Anna
Cassenhiser of 
Wadsworth and Mrs. Gertrude Walker of Marion, and 2 brothers, John of Akron and Dan
of 
Dennison. Two brothers and 3 sisters are deceased.

Services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, with
Fr. 
Hugh J. Gilbert officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours
will be at the R. 
K. Lindsey Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Friday. Rosary devotions will be held Sunday at
7 p.m. 
in the funeral home.
