Luke Meechan, 72, 114 N. 3rd st, [sic] Dennison, died of a cerebral hemorrhage at
10:45 a.m. 
today at Union hospital. 

Born Sept. 27, 1887 in Doylestown a son of Thomas and Catherine Curran Meechan, he
was 
a retired coal miner and had been a resident of Dennison for the past 21 years. In
1914, he 
was married to the former Louise Kruse, who survives. 

Also surviving are three children, Thomas of this city, Luke of Dennison and Daniel
of Wichita, 
Kans.: five daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Storrie of this city, Mrs. Margaret Altier and
Mrs. Helen 
Creager of Dennison, Mrs. Barbara Kinsey of RD 1, Gnadenhutten and Mrs. Earl Henry
of 
Uhrichsville, two sisters, Mrs. Anna Casenhiser of Wadsworth and Mrs. Gertrude
Walker of 
Marion; and two brothers, John of Akron and Dan of Dennison. Two brothers and three

sisters are deceased.

Services will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, with the
Rev. Fr. 
Hugh J. Gilbert officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.

Calling hours will be at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Friday.

Rosary devotions will be held Sunday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
