Simeon Anderson received a letter from Ottawa, Kansas, Wednesday, stating that 
his brother-in-law, James Guy, a former resident of Dover township had died 
last Saturday of dropsy. Mr. Guy left Union county shortly after the Civil war 
and settled in Kansas where he has conducted a shoe store with considerable 
success. He was 74 years old and as a frequent visitor to this county was well 
known. He leaves two daughters, his wife having preceded him two years ago.
