Pneumonia was the cause. His mother, Mrs. Piersol was called to Chicago Wednesday evening. Until a few weeks ago, Mr. Knox resided with his parents north of Marysville. Mr. Knox went to Chicago to secure employment, residing with his brother who is employed as a motorman on the Chicago street railway. James Rogan Knox was born December 10, 1884 at Rogersville, Tennessee, the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Knox and came to Union county in 1896, two years after the marriage of his mother to Mr. Evan Piersol. He is survived by his mother, stepfather, one brother and a half sister. The body was brought home by his mother, accompanied by Miss Georgia Piersol and William Knox and wife. Burial was at Oakdale.
