Newspaper clipping from gr. grandmother
   Ethelinda C. McCloud, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.B. McCloud, was born
February 2, 1879, in Union County, Ohio, died April 21, 1904, age 25 years, 2
months and 19 days. She was the second of a family of seven children, four
brothers having preceded her to the better world. She united with the Methodist
Episcopal church at the age of thirteen, of which denomination she has ever been
an active and consistent member. She was married April 14, 1897, to Elmer C.
Hedges who survives her. Besides her husband, she leaves four children, Everett
age 6, Verna age 4, Ruth age 2, and an infant son, Fay, also a father, mother
and two sisters, besides a host of relatives and friends who mourn the loss of a
devoted companion, a loving mother, a dutiful and affectionate daughter and
sister and a faithful friend.
   Funeral services were held at the home April 23, 1904, near Ferry, Oceana
County, Mich. Interment was made in the Shelby cemetery as was requested by her
some time ago while passing by that place.
