Mosher was born in Delaware county, Ohio. Jan. 24, 1845, and died April 9, 1904, aged 59 years, 2 months and 15 days. In 1862, when but a mere boy of seventeen, he enlisted in his country's service, heroically defending the stars and stripes until the close of the Revolution. On June 22, 1868, we was wedded to Miss Emily J. Lampson. To this union was born five children. Mary C. Cary E., Ella V., Jennie B. and Forrest E. all of whom together with the mother are left to mourn the loss of a patient and loving father, a kind and devoted husband. He was a member of the Livingston Post of Richwood, and always found time to attend, and took great pleasure in strewing with "Tokens of Love" the graves of his fallen comrades. In 1882 he became a member of the McKendree Church, but for convenience was transferred to Somersville by J.W. Donnan, where he continued his membership until he identified himself with the Friend's Church of that place. Funeral services were conducted by his former pastor, Mary E. Sipe, a minister in the Friends Church, in McKendree church at York Center and the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery.
