The Marysville Tribune, April 4, 1906
Matthew G. Organ, son of John and Louisa Organ, was born April 10, 1939 at 
Bainbridge, Ross county, Ohio, died in North Lewisburg, Ohio, March 21, 1906, 
aged 66 years, 11 months, and 11 days.
He came with his parents to Union county in 1840. He resided in Union county  
until 1861 when he enlisted in the 63rd Ohio regiment, Co. K. He served one 
year and was discharged on account of disability from which he never recovered. 
In 1863 he was united in marriage to Sarah Elizabeth Spain, who departed this 
life in September 1886. To this union were born eight children, five sons and 
three daughter, two of whom are deceased.
In May 1900 he was united in marriage to Mrs. Mercy Stout.
He united with the M. E. church on Darby in about the year 1859 and remained a 
member until his death.
He leaves a wife, six children and twenty-four grandchildren also two brothers 
and four sisters.
