IN HIS PRIME
Young Man Called to Give Up His Life 

Birt B. Patch was born Sept, 25th, 1877 and died in Marysville, Ohio, July 25 
1897 aged 19 years and ten months.
The disease which caused his death was something of a mystery to his physician.
Feb; 22, 1897, he was united in marriage to Miss-Gertrude Melching, who with 
the father, mother, four brothers ,an aged grandmother and large circle of 
friends are left to mourn. During his sickness of three weeks, he was a great 
sufferer. A few days before his death he sought the Lord, was baptized, said 
that he was prepared to die, and exhorted his friends to meet him in heaven. 
The funeral Services were held at the-Residence of his father, Harmon Patch, 
Marysville, conducted by Rev: Haines assisted by Prof. Cole, after which the 
remains were interred in Oak Dale Cemetery.
