LAST WILL & TESTAMENT OF THOMAS REED, 1803 - 1861

In the name of the Benevolent Father of all I, Thomas
Reed of the County of Union and State of Ohio do make
and publish this my last will and testament. I give and
devise to my beloved wife the farm on which we now
reside. Situate in the County of Union and in the State
of Ohio containing about Fifty Seven acres, during her
natural life, and all the stock, household goods,
furniture, provisions, and other goods and chattels,
moneys and credits, which many belong to me at the time
of my decease, during her natural life as aforesaid
after having paid my Just debts and funeral expenses. 
At the death of my said wife Jane Reed, the real estate
and all other property or money that may still remain I
give and devise my Children equally except My Son Mathew
Reed who has had and received Seventy Five Dollars.  I
wish each of the balance of my children to have Seventy
Five Dollars and that no appraisement and no sale of my
personal property be made and that no bonds be required,
and that the Court of probate direct the omission of the
same in pursuance of the statute.  In testimony whereof,
I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 7th day of
November in the year 1861 signed and acknowledged by
said    Thomas Reed {seal}

(ROBINSON) REED are in file number 1616.  The files
concerning guardianship of her two minor children are

ADMINISTRATION OF (THOMAS REED) ESTATE

In the matter of Thomas Reeds (sic.) Will 

The last Will and testament of Thomas Reed late of Union
County Ohio deceased was this day produced in court by
Jane Reed the executor named in said Will and William M.
Robinson and Sarah J. Winget the subscribing witnesses
to said Will appeared and in open court on oath
testified to the due execution of said Will which
testimony was reduced to writing by me and by said
witnesses subscribed and filed with said Will and it
appearing to the court by said testimony that said Will
was duly attested and executed and that the said
testator at the time of executing the same was of full
age and of sound mind and memory and not under any
restraint it is therefore ordered by the court that said
Will and testimony be recorded Jane Reed Widow of the
above deceased appeared in open court and elected to
take under Will and relinquish her right of dower under
the law.

The State of Ohio Union County SS Wm. M. Robinson and
Sarah J. Winget being duly sworn says that they were
present at the Execution of the last Will and testament
of Thomas Reed deceased hereunto annexed that they saw
the said Testator subscribe to said will and heard him
publish and declare the same to be his last will and
testament and that the said testator at the time of
executing the same was of full age and of sound mind and
memory and not under any restraint and that they signed
the same as witnesses at his request and in his presence
