Cleveland Police See In Trouble With Husband A Motive For Murder
Cleveland,O.,Sept.14- The body of a young woman was found today crowded into a 
trunk which was picked up in the water under a coal dock on the lake front.The 
body was identified at that of Mrs.Inez Smith,of 95 Oregon street,this 
city.The woman disappeared September 6.That she was murdered and her body 
placed in the trunk and thrown into the river is certain,the police say.Some 
time ago the woman applied for divorce,alleging thast her husband,Sauel 
Smith,had another wife living whom he married in 1892.
Before her marriage to Smith,the dead woman's name was Inex Hall,and she lived 
in Zaneville,O. The Smith's had lived in Cleveland about five years,but 
recently had not been living together.
