There was a bullet wound in the right temple and another in the left arm. Later in the evening the dead body of her lover, Arthur Speyd, who was known to have gone driving with her, was found on the roadside. Speyd had killed the girl & commited suicide, probably as the result of a lover's quarrel. Speyd was twenty-two and the girl nineteen years of age.
