The Van Wert Daily Bulletin
Ill of Heart Disease Since January; Funeral Services Saturday.
     Thaddeus K. Osborn, 67, died at 12:05 A. M. today in his home in Ridge 
Township - following an illness, due to a heart ailment, since January. Though 
he had been in failing health, his death this morning was unexpected.
     Mr. Osborn was born in Ridge Township on November 8, 1875, the youngest 
son of the late William and Elizabeth Osborn. He was a former local business 
man, with his brother, the late A. B. Osborn, conducting a general garage and 
automobile salesroom. After retiring from the business he removed from George 
Street to his Ridge Township home. During his residence in Van Wert he served 
as a member of the City Board of Education, and also served on the Ridge School 
Board and the Van Wert County Board of Education.
     He was married on November 15, 1904, to Miss Bertha Gamble, who survives. 
Also surviving are two sisters, Miss Mattie Osborn of Ridge Township and Mrs. 
Seth Painter of Monroeville, Ind., and one brother, William Osborn of Dixon. 
Two brothers, A. B. and M. H. Osborn, preceded him in death.
     Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 A. M. at the home and will be 
in charge of Painter Bros. and Marquart of Monroeville, Ind. Rev. C. O. Good of 
Spencerville, a former neighbor of the deceased, will conduct the funeral 
service. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery.
