The Daily Herald, Delphos, Ohio - Oct. 25, 1895
ASPHYXIATED BY GAS
Youngstown, O., Oct. 25 - Nicholas Smith, an employe at the Struthers blast 
furnace, while cleaning boilers, was asphyxiated by gas and died in an hour 
after being taken out of the boiler.  Smith had been employed only three days 
at the furnace, and said his home was in Pittsburg.
